• Who are Mogwai?

Scottish post-rock group Mogwai was established in Glasgow in 1995. Martin Bulloch plays bass guitar, Stuart Braithwaite plays guitar, Barry Burns plays guitar, piano, synthesizer, and sings for the group.

• What kind of music do they make?

Post-Rock, Instrumental rock and space rock. Long instrumental guitar works are often made by Mogwai, filled with dynamic contrast, catchy bass guitar riffs, and a lot of distortion and effects.

• What does this mean? 

Post-rock is a form of experimental rock characterized by a focus on exploring textures and timbre over traditional rock song structures, chords, or riffs. Instrumental post-rock musicians frequently use a mix of rock and electronic instruments. The 1980s and early 1990s independent and underground music scenes were where the genre first appeared. However, because it rejects rock norms, it frequently has little in common musically with modern indie rock.
